When we met (on a blind date), Angi made a comment about someone being a big star. Rob responded "Was that an Alex Chilton reference?" to which Angi responded "Are you a Replacements fan?". We say that Alex Chilton brought us together, so we decided to name our house in his honor...and that was well before we ever dreamed of doing house shows.
We only book artists that we are fans of. Our goal is to sell out every show, so a level of name recognition is important. It takes a lot of effort to get the house ready and that effort needs to be worth it for us and the artist.
If you haven't heard of the artist, just trust us! We'll never have anyone here that you won't be entertained by!
We do not. The artist makes 100% of ticket and merch sales. This is a way for us to give back to folks who have given us so much through their art.
We are fortunate to have so much talent in Richmond and we have friends in several local bands. We aren't a venue, we can't host shows every night and we'd never want to turn our friends down.
If you want to get on the wait list, you send us an email letting us know which show you want to be added to with your first & last name, your phone number and the number of tickets you're interested to chillinatchilton@gmail.com. If someone lets us know they can't use their tickets, we go down the wait list in order and we text the next person on the list and provide them with a response time within which to respond before we will move to the next person. We will connect sellers with buyers via text. Once a purchase is completed, we will update the door list accordingly.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL wait list / ticket transfer activity on our part ends at 5pm the day before a show. If you sell or transfer a ticket yourself at any time, you must let us know by NOON on show day so we can update the door list. If a name is not on the list, the person will not be admitted.
